love, erica!!!! good to know that that particular combo works well together, too!

i love the idea of no guidelines and a more organic flow like this - especially because it is more forgiving!

question for you! did you at least plan/write it out in pencil first before going in with ink? or did you just go for it?  and if you did just go for it, did you find you needed to use a lot of your extras??? i tend to get a little crazy when i don't plan ahead (even for for more organic styles), because the layout can still turn out bad sometimes.

i wonder if there's a way to create a "directory" on the forum where we could get a list of all instagram handles? similar to the memberlist?

if this can't be done in the memberlist or hasn't already been done, i can go ahead and go through the posts and manually create a list for us

hey all, that's totally fine i understand the special-ness of it being here on the forum and i'm all for special-ness!  hope you didn't take my silence to mean anything here - i just have to be intentional about checking in every so often and sometimes i miss a few days!

wonder if you can have contributors for the "secret boards" on pinterest... where only those invited could see it.  again, i still get why it's easier for it all to be in one place, rather than scattered in various social media so i'm not trying to push the idea, but this is the last thought i just had.

i just had an idea! what about a flourishforum pinterest board that erica can invite other MEMBERS to contribute to?  this way we can all view each others' work on one board and leave comments?! 

the idea actually comes from witandwhistle's board called "hand lettering practice" that i've been contributing to since the beginning of my hand lettering "career" and since its inception.

although i know this might make the "sharing" category obsolete, but i'd love to be able to see images of everyone's work in one place like on a pinterest board and people can always leave more detailed posts in the "sharing" category here in the forum as well if they want more feedback?

thanks andy! this is helpful! even the paper reference guide page is helpful on that website and something similar to what i was looking for as far as paper type/weight for a given application!

Hi All,

Does anyone have a good reference/link that would explain paper terminology?  i've done some research myself and found that different paper weights and such are good for different applications, but can anyone explain in basic layman's terms what this means and how it applies in a real-life scenario?
