(temporarily... for another year or two... then back to the U.S. - Columbus, Indiana)

I was born and raised in Germany (and I was close to live in Potsdam fow some years, Stefanie:))), met my now husband and he moved us around: lived and worked in Austria, moved to the U.S. - lived, worked, had kids there and now we landed in Sweden

Where in Sweden?  My husband lived in Linkoping and Malmo--spent 2 years there when he was in his 20's and remembers it quite fondly.  He learned to speak Swedish and practices every chance he gets.

I remember there was a nice one close to Hauptplatz (I forgot the name of the 'gasse' - steep up-hill from the corner of Herrengasse) ...anyway - I'll research a bit more before we go )

We're about 30 min South of Stockholm and ca 2 hrs away from Linköping

So awesome that your husband kept his Swedish!
Our kids are fluent meanwhile, but my husband and I not so much

I enjoy that we can walk or bike everywhere - which is impossible from our location in the U.S. To school, to work, for groceries, to town, to the lake for swimming, picking blueberries (once they're ripe )

Hi Prasad,

Nice to have someone from India on the forum. I visited Pune in 1988 on a trip with friends in Ahmedabad, visiting various places like Shirdi and Sakuri. Not sure if I'll ever get back there, but if so, I'll say hi.
