A section of Grace by him that I penned the first day I got my batch of Principals and my McCaffery's Red Violet. It's hard to post older stuff when you know you've gotten much better since! But I thought people here might enjoy this. I will probably do a good copy just like this, but squash the line spacing some and correct the numerous mistakes.

Thanks, Erica. I know this isn't the critique forum, but do you think the shade part of the 'r' is a little too short? I was actually going to do away with it for that reason.

Not at all. I have a penchant for r's with larger loops on top and a short, thick shade on the right. Yours have a nice flair.

Erica, here's a thought... the 'r' in question seems like a small stylistic deviation, compared to the 'r' that starts off as an 'n' but hooks over instead of coming back down. In a small body of text, it looks to me more like an anomaly; in a large body of text, it looks more like an accent.

I can't even remember how I got my ascenders so straight on this one. I would have started the good copy already, but drawing the lines sucks the life out of me.
