Tangledpen- I used gouache! erica posted that video on how to mix it and and I couldnt resist the pretty colors 

apparently it does store well though. I mixed a small jar of the gouache and water and didn't finish using it, after a few days the pigment settled out and I couldn't mix it back in. It turned into a gummy sludge at the bottom of the jar

It turned out a little bit crooked but oh well. Not too bad for starting calligraphy last Monday

the light box is beautiful! very sleek and pretty stable for how thin it is. I like how it has a thin profile so i can easily rest my arm over the edge without it feeling awkward.

here it is on full brightness with a paper towel, a guideline sheet and two index cards.

 i dont have any dark envelopes to test at the moment but I will update later after more use.

so far i think it is a great purchase for the price. the usb cable is about three feet long and I plug it into a usb plug that i have for my iphone.

Hi everyone!

I stumbled across this website in my quest to teach myself calligraphy. I started working through the wonderful tutorials from Erica on Monday and loving every minute of it =). this forum has been so informative I've already passed on the site to many of my friends who were interested in learning calligraphy as well.

I am a Texas native that recently moved to California, dog mom of one silly mini schnauzer(Lady), and DIY crafter extraordinaire! I look forward to chatting with y'all
