Just signed up, nobody twisted my arm or anything @claire lander  ;)
I have a vague plan, now to put it into action. Excited to do another swap, they are such fun :)

Hi @CalliSue,
The envelopes looks amazing. Left me guessing whats inside. :D

Ashok, ah it was nothing exciting, it's just I couldn't find my wax seal so had to tie the card with string, made it quite bulky!

Hi there, I'm new to the forum aswell and a beginner like yourself. The amount of knowledge and generous support from the members here is amazing.

You can also dissolve it in distilled water … takes a day or so. Just cover the pan with water in a little jar and stir from time to time with a toothpick. Then you can add more water until you have the consistency of cream. Now you can transfer a part of it to a Dinky Dip or some other small container and use it as a dip ink! Just make sure to stir regularly like any metallic ink – the pigment sinks to the bottom quite fast! (I do that also with gouache – not a big fan of loading the nib with a brush ;D!)

Oh @Estefa now THIS is what I've been wanting to hear!! I'm a real grump when it comes to brushing on the ink!!
Thank you!!  :-*

@Erica McPhee I'm going to miss the deadline unfortunately. Absolutely everything is done, but I'm just waiting on one little bit to dry so I can erase my pencil lines - and last post here is 5.30pm so definitely won't be ready now. But will go in the post first thing tomorrow a.m. - so sorry about this, and sorry to everyone on List 3, I'm hoping everyone will still receive them before 31st.

I received my first exchange yesterday, thank you SO much @PapeLineCo it is stunning!! Totally made my day :)

@CalliSue. You would pull it off easily at the last moment unlike me a beginner who needs to really work hard to get things together.

Oh no @ash0kgiri I'm just a beginner! I have my envelopes addressed at least ... I can see myself up until all hours Sunday night trying to get finished before the deadline!

Oooh looks good even just look that!

Have to be honest, I have nothing to show! I have an idea swimming around in my head but haven't been able to get it down on paper yet. I'm hoping to get envelopes done tonight at least. Please someone else say they are as behind as I am, this month is turning into a nightmare.

Ceire! (having cracked the accent on IG I now can't manage on here lol...) Hi, how are you? how nice to see you here.

Yes how did the interview go? fingers crossed for you.

See you on IG soon :-)

Best wishes

Claire x

Hi Claire!!! No bloody interview! It was a month ago since I sent the cv and letter and heard nothing back at all, seems kind of strange considering I also mentioned about working with their stationery as a calligrapher (nothing to do with their sales job) - I think I might just email them again, but I didn't want to be rude or pushy. Ah anyway, I'm still pottering away trying to work through Erica McPhee's copperplate worksheets and my uncial, keeping me busy!

Great to see you on here too.

Well that sounds like a dream! Welcome back, looking forward to seeing some of your work!

Thanks Christen,
definitely a dream job I'd LOVE an interview, it's been 15 years since I applied for a job so my nerves are getting the better of me. Let's see how it goes!
