Could anyone or everyone show me how you write out Mc...in a name please?:

Example:
McDonald
McAdams

I was just wondering if it's done differently with calligraphy.

If you had to choose one Finetec GOLD..which one would you recommend?

(I suppose I should mention that I already do have Dr. Martins Copperplate Gold)

I am a just at 2 months into calligraphy.

My hairlines / upstrokes  are still so shaky...is this normal at 2 months?

I am learning the copperplate script.

So...I'm addressing my Halloween Exchange envelopes. What the heck! I have misspelled my OWN name so many times it's ridiculous....Good Grief!

p.s. Coffee and Calligraphy do not mix!

Tools & Supplies / Colored paper recommendations, please

I am still in the "newbie" stage and after my regular practice I allow myself to "play" (with different colors of ink, papers and other things). I plan on getting quality colored paper for when I feel I am ready to advance and invest in that.  In the mean time, I just want to get some paper in different colors to play around with and practice on. I don't have access to anything other than Hobby Lobby or Michael's.  Could anyone recommend a brand, type or weight of colored paper that would be "decent" to use for pointed pen?

Hi! (newbie here)... I am looking for a calligraphy quote to use as my "motto".  I would like to have the quote be specifically dedicated to calligraphy as oppose to a general quote.  It could be made up by you or by anyone else. If possible,  could you please include the author so I may give credit for the quote.
