It does take a lot of patience, but it's also really fun
I was going to make more, but never did find time (and energy) to do so. 
Back then I had no idea about zentangles and only referred to what I did as doodling. Haha~
I'm a total newbie at calligraphy; I started a little over three weeks ago, but have dabbled in hand lettering a few months prior. I joined the forum a few weeks back, I think, but haven't had the courage to introduce myself until today. I started following calligraphers on Instagram and discovered majority of them were part of the forum, so I thought I'd say hi. :> I'm a drawer and a part-time teacher of English, but these days most of my time is spent practicing and learning calligraphy or reading up on it. Really eager to learn and make beautiful things like you lovely people do.
