The only purpose of writing is communication. Whilst I avoid over-flourishing of lettering, I like most Spencerian Majuscules and occasionally combine them with Copperplate minuscules. As I was aware thst this version of the latter H might cause a problem, I deliberately entitled thd piece Signarure - H G Warner in an attempt to avoid confusion.
Obviously, I wasn't sucessful and for this I apologise.
Also, I've just realised that I've posted this twice withinh the last month - sorry!

Love seeing these two different G’s together.I really like the Spencerian majuscules - in fact I sometimes prefer them to the conventional Copperplate majuscules with Copperplate minuscules (sacrilege).

AS a lifelong vegetarian this sounds particularly disgusting. However, it's not for me to judge and a job is a job, regardless of the content. This was written some years ago for a Sheraton Hotel restaurant.

Tastefully done; flourishing to enhance a piece of writing can be most effective and attractive, but I also believe in the beauty of lettering in its own right, and the following is one of my favourite sayings.

This is an oblique penholder in a tripod handhold. With the shaft resting on the large knuckle, the nib is at a perfect angle in relation to the paper surface. If the shaft is down in the hollow of the hand the nib is too flat to the paper and writing is less controllable IMHO.
